You're not alone! Our Social Skills Groups (ages 4-17) provide a welcoming space for kids to learn, grow, and have fun together. We empower them with the skills to confidently handle social interactions, fostering empathy, communication, and positive friendships.

Middle & High School Students: PEERS®

Unlock your child’s potential for social growth through the PEERS® program. Tailored for adolescents aged 12-17 (6th grade+), this evidence-based program out of UCLA spans 14-16 weeks consecutive weeks and addresses the social interaction challenges faced by teens and young adults. Whether it's making new friends, strengthening existing friendships, or navigating conflicts and rejections, our program equips participants with essential skills for social success.

All adolescent groups are IN-PERSON, with 5-10 teens per group. Only PEERS® CERTIFIED trainers lead our groups.

Parent participation is a mandatory component of our program, ensuring comprehensive support and reinforcement of learned skills. Parent groups are held virtually each week.

We screen all potential group members to ensure a good fit, taking into account similar ages and development. Groups typically run in the fall and winter or spring.

PEERS® for Preschoolers: Ages 4-6

Is your child struggling in playdates or with peer interactions?

This is a 16 week, evidence based social skills program where parents or caregivers learn practical, lasting tools to support your child’s social skills. You’ll gain step-by-step strategies to coach your child during play and everyday situations.

Certified PEERS® providers will guide you in topics that include:

  • Listen & follow directions

  • Ask and use names

  • Greet friends

  • Share & give turns

  • Ask friends to play

  • Join ongoing games

  • Keep cool during play

  • Be a good sport

  • Transition to new games

  • Ask & give help

  • Use good volume control

  • Keep good body boundaries

    1. In-Person: child and parent group run concurrently for 90 minutes

    2. Virtual/online: Parent only group

  • Your child may be a good fit if they…

    • have social difficulties, have a diagnosis of Autism or suspected neurodivergence

    • are between the ages of 4-6

    • speak consistently and flexibly in phrases of more than 4 words

    • do not have any significant behavioral problems (i.e. aggression)

  • Yes, the parent-only, online format has been shown to be just as effective as in-person programs.
    UCLA’s research on the PEERS® model has found similar outcomes between in-person (child + parent) and virtual, parent-only groups. Our group is highly structured and interactive. Each week, parents complete short “coaching homework” videos, which allow us to give personalized feedback and help you make meaningful progress at home.

Elementary Aged Children

Our engaging social skills groups for children ages 4-11 provide a supportive space to learn and grow together. Through fun activities, children develop essential skills like empathy, self-regulation, and understanding others’ perspectives. Groups are thoughtfully curated based on age and shared goals and short term (ie 6-8 weeks).

All groups with KIDS are IN-PERSON.

Feedback for parents is a vital part of our group, ensuring comprehensive support and reinforcement of learned skills. This is embedded within each weekly group.
