What is a Licensed Educational Psychologist & BCBA?
A Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) is regulated by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California and can provide counseling or therapy and evaluations services to children, their families, and adults if they are experiencing challenges with their jobs or educational progress (which encompasses social interactions, academics, executive functioning, and other behavior challenges). LEPs are former or current school psychologists who have the unique lens of truly understanding the educational system.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a professional trained in the science of behavior to help individuals learn new skills through evidence-based techniques, collaborating closely with parents or school staff for personalized plans.
If you are a parent who needs more direct support on how to handle your child’s challenging behaviors and are ready to try something different, then a BCBA can help!
